Patrick Kelleher is a freelance journalist and content creator based in Ireland. He writes regularly for The Irish Times and is a freelance reporter for PinkNews. He focuses on LGBTQ+ issues as well as general news and features across health, lifestyle and arts.
Patrick’s career began at Independent News and Media (INM) where he worked as a News Reporter across the Irish Independent, the Sunday Independent and the Evening Herald. In December 2016, he made the decision to strike out on his own. Since then, he has developed a wide-ranging freelance career as a freelance journalist and content creator.
In his freelance career, Patrick has written for various Irish national newspapers. In recent years, he has branched out into digital content for websites such as Culture Trip. He has also worked with Alzheimer’s Research UK in communications where he worked with British national media outlets to tell powerful personal stories about dementia.
At the core of the work Patrick does is compelling storytelling. Every article, blog or landing page should give the reader a sense of a story. He always works to imbue whatever he is working on with a story structure.
If your organisation would like to work with Patrick or to commission him for an article, you can contact him on the contact page on this website, or reach him directly by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
